Is an international festival dedicated to world music, traditional music, ethno-jazz and fusions with other genres. Its purpose is to offer a varied line-up in events that animate the historic centre of the city.

Our festival is colourful, multicultural, and multifaceted, supporting Slovak bands and providing them with room to perform at showcase events, and also presenting top world music performers, bands and projects from abroad. In our programme, besides concerts, you can find dance performances, workshops, films and other accompanying events.

The international conference, with the participation of foreign-based professionals and delegates, is intended for experts, musicians and the public. Its role is to present the Slovak music scene to professionals from abroad and make room for networking and the sharing of experience between the Slovak scene and the international world music community.

The aim of the event is to create space for dialogue between cultures, respect for one’s own cultural traditions and communication by means of musical art. Together with musicians, participants and audience, we subscribe to tolerance, understanding, freedom and respect.

Our festival has been a member of the Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (FWMF) since 2017. In the prestigious rank of world music and ethno festivals in 2018 prepared by the Transglobal World Music Chart, the World Music Festival Bratislava won the “New Festival” and “Small/Medium Festival” categories.
