Presentation: Bussines Modeling for Artists /  Eric van Monckhoven, Music4You/World Music Lab
Eric van Monckhoven (Belgium) has worked as an ecosocial project designer, manager, and grant writer at the service of the international community for 20 years. He also served as a cultural producer in France and Finland before setting up Music4You, a live music PR & Booking agency for world, folk, and jazz artists. Eric is a member of the European Folk Network board. He is based in Sicily, Italy.

You are an artist, and you want to earn a living from your craft. In brief, you are a business owner. By identifying what are the existing revenue streams for any of your offers, and understanding what it takes to create, distribute and capture value, you will be able to organize your operations and decide where to direct your efforts. Designing business models using visual tools can greatly help, and it can be fun too.

Presentation: Global Arrivals: Promoting your music without compromising your sense of artistry / Duncan Ballantyne, Ballantyne Communications
Lecturer  Duncan and his team at Ballantyne Communications tell stories and build narratives with the human experience at the forefront, celebrating difference, diversity and equality. This is something built-in to what they do, not a clever add on. Getting up close and personal is a philosophy at the heart of their work.
Duncan’s experiences are wide, having managed various UK based record labels, set up and managed Tiger’s Milk Records for 7 years, in collaboration with a London based Peruvian food and drinks brand called Ceviche. He ran his own artist management company for many years and also works with other strands of culture in collaboration with arts organisations, festivals and brands.

Workshop: Global Arrivals: Duncan Ballantyne, Ballantyne Communications
